Gus Dean Adds Kansas Speedway to Venturini Motorsports ARCA Schedule

CONCORD, N.C.: Two-time ARCA Menards Series winner Gus Dean (@gusdean) has added next Saturday afternoon’s Dutch Boy 150 race to his Venturini Motorsports 2022 ARCA Menards Series schedule.

Dean, a native of Bluffton, S.C. returned to the ARCA Menards Series after a two-year hiatus and has delivered two top-five finishes aboard the No. 55 Dean Custom Air Toyota Camry at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and the series’ most recent race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on April 23.

Despite missing the series’ second race of the year at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway, he is seventh in the championship standings.

Dean will pilot the No. 15 Mobil 1 Toyota Camry with Kevin Reed Sr. serving as crew chief.

“I’m very thankful to add this race with Venturini Motorsports,” said Dean. “Everyone at Venturini Motorsports has certainly been great to work with and we’ve enjoyed some strong runs in our two races together. Our goal at Kansas though is to win.”

“Anything less than a win would be a disappointment.”

The popular ARCA driver has four prior ARCA Menards Series starts at the 1.5-mile track with a top-10 finish in his last visit during the 2019 ARCA Menards Series season finale.

“I like Kansas Speedway, but I don’t have the finishes to show that,” added Dean. “Hopefully, we can change that with our No. 15 Mobil 1 Toyota Camry and build our notebook for my next planned ARCA race at Michigan International Speedway in August.”

The 27-year-old South Carolinian is amid a busy 2022 season combining of ARCA, Late Models, Mud Truck Racing and a hopeful sporadic appearance or two in one of NASCAR’s National Series.

“With no championship on the line for me this season, it’s about having fun,” sounded Dean. “Whether that’s competing with Venturini Motorsports in ARCA, DLP Motorsports in Late Model competition or the other racing endeavors we have planned for this season.

“We’re working hard behind the scenes to get back to a full-time status hopefully in 2023.”

In addition to Mobil 1, Dean Custom Air, Folds of Honor, Kick Industries and WileyX will serve as associate marketing partners for Dean’s 58th career ARCA start.

Sixteen-Year-Old Jake Finch Joins Venturini Motorsports for Select Races in 2022

April 25, 2022 (Concord, NC) – Venturini Motorsports (VMS) announced today the signing of 16-year-old driver, Jake Finch to a two-race ARCA schedule in 2022.

Finch, who comes to VMS ready to learn and gain experience, will pilot the No.25 Toyota Camry at Dover Motor Speedway this Friday, April 29 for the ARCA East race. Finch will also pilot the No.55 Toyota Camry at Pocono Raceway on July 22 for the ARCA Menards event.

“I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to race in the ARCA Menards Series for Venturini Motorsports,” said Finch. “Both Pocono and Dover are unique and historic, fast racetracks, and it’ll be a cool experience and challenge for me as I learn at some new places.”

Finch, son of former NASCAR Cup Series & Xfinity Series team owner James Finch, has experienced stock-car racing since he was seven years old.

The Lynn Haven, Florida native just recently made his debut in the ARCA East series at his home track of Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL scoring a top-ten finish in the Pensacola 200. In 2021, Finch also captured the Outlaw division track Championship at Five Flags Speedway.

“Hopefully we’re not just able to run all the laps but also run competitively with the great equipment the VMS team brings to the racetrack,” said Finch in anticipation of his upcoming races with the team.

Gus Dean Hunts Second ARCA Talladega Triumph with Venturini Motorsports

TALLADEGA, Ala.: Gus Dean is hunting in Saturday afternoon’s General Tire 200 at Talladega
(Ala.) Superspeedway.

The Bluffton, S.C. native is trophy hunting that is as the Venturini Motorsports driver returns to the 2.66-mile superspeedway for the first time in ARCA competition in two years looking to rekindle the magic he showcased in 2016 when he scored his first career ARCA Menards Series victory in an upset victory in just his second series start.

A lot has transpired for Dean since that defining moment in his career nearly six years ago, but the feelings and the emotions of his Talladega triumph feel as if the win was yesterday.“I’m super excited to get back to Talladega Superspeedway,” said Dean. “It’s one of my favorite race tracks on this earth. It’s very special to me and my family and I’d like nothing more than to do that again with Venturini Motorsports on Saturday.”

The third ARCA Menards Series race of the season will mark Dean’s second race with the potent Venturini Motorsports and with a top-five finish in their debut together two months ago at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Dean is looking to build on that momentum in his sixth trip to the famed-Alabama facility.

“I can’t thank Venturini Motorsports enough for everything they are doing,” explained Dean. “As we mentioned before Daytona, we have been trying to work together for a couple of years and I’m glad that the stars finally aligned.”

“Daytona was good. It was nice to finish my first ever race there. The Venturini Motorsports team brought me a race-winning No. 55 Dean Custom Air Toyota Camry, but we were run over by another car under the yellow and it caused some damage and we had to pit and rally from the back.”

“We were able to fight back to inside the top-five on the last lap, but just ran out of laps. Hopefully, we can have a mistake-free day on Saturday and return to Victory Lane.”

Talladega has proven to be one of Dean’s best race tracks in ARCA competition. In five starts, he has one win, three top-10s and five top-16 finishes. With an average finish of 8.8, the Late Model standout is eager to approve that statistic in his second ARCA start of the season.

“I’ve always run well at Talladega and I hope that trend continues this weekend,” added Dean. “I had a really good car the last time I competed in 2020 but unfortunately had an electrical issue and it doomed our chances of a victory.

“We’re bringing the same No. 55 Dean Custom Air Toyota Camry that we raced at Daytona and I know what that car is capable of and I just look forward to a fun 76 laps of working with my teammates and getting my first win of the season.”

With just practice on deck and his starting position set by 2021 owner points, Dean knows he does not have the best starting position, but he also knows he’ll have a car capable of getting him to the front.

“Patience is going to be super important on Saturday, especially at the start of the race,” Dean explained. “There are some really good cars starting mid-pack or towards the rear of the field and its going to take some patience and just using our heads to negotiate the traffic and then setting yourself up after the modified pit stop.

“Our Venturini Motorsports cars ran well together at Daytona in February and I’d know we can do it again, so I’ll try to get to the front as quickly and safely as possible and hope that we can settle it amongst ourselves for the win. We will just see what happens.”

In addition to Talladega, Dean will return to ARCA competition with Venturini Motorsports at Michigan International Speedway in August.

The 27-year-old South Carolinian is poised to have a busy 2022 season between ARCA, Late Models, Mud Truck Racing and a hopeful sporadic appearance or two in one of NASCAR’s National Series.

“With no championship on the line for me this season, it’s about having fun,” sounded Dean. “Whether that’s competing with Venturini Motorsports in ARCA, DLP Motorsports in Late Model competition or the other racing endeavors we have planned for this season. Of course, the urge to still compete full-time is there, but it takes marketing partners and a lot of financial commitment to make it happen.

“Until we can hopefully put ourselves back into that position again, we’ll take the path that has been laid out before me and make the most of it.”

In addition to Dean Custom Air, Folds of Honor, Kick Industries, TOSOT and WileyX will serve as associate marketing partners for Dean’s 57th career ARCA start.

The General Tire 200 (76 laps | 200 miles) is the third of 20 races on the 2022 ARCA Menards Series schedule. Group practice begins on Fri. April 22 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The series won’t host qualifying, setting the field by 2021 ARCA car owner standings. The 60th ARCA race from Talladega is set to take the green flag on Saturday, April 23 shortly after 12:00 p.m. The event will be televised live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with the Motor Racing Network (MRN) handling the radio waves. VENTURINI MOTORSPORTS BECOMES WINNINGEST TEAM IN ARCA

Concord, NC (March 07, 2022) – Venturini Motorsports (VMS) celebrated a historic victory at Daytona Int’l Speedway in February, earning it’s 80th win and breaking the record as the winningest team in ARCA History.

Venturini Motorsports surpassed Iggy Katona as the previous record holder. Katona has 79 ARCA team wins dating back to 1977.

Seemingly unstoppable at Daytona, Corey Heim delivered the team’s fifth consecutive victory at the World Center of Racing and sixth total. The win also marked Heim’s second successive year in a row basking in the Daytona glory. The statement victory comes during VMS’ milestone 40th Anniversary ARCA Season.

All of these victories at the historic Daytona Int’l Speedway have helped to contribute to the storybook of accomplishments for Venturini Motorsports.

The team has achieved 80 total ARCA victories with 27 different drivers at 30 different tracks, ranging from Superspeedways to Road Courses to Dirt Tracks to Intermediates and Short Tracks;

In 2019, Christian Eckes delivered VMS’ its third ARCA Championship.

In 2012, Venturini Motorsports and the Venturini family was unanimously voted into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame (NIASHF) for their excellent efforts in positively impacting and contributing to the motorsports industry.

VMS has also prepared and equipped many drivers with the foundation to move up the ranks and succeed at the NASCAR level, with over 20 drivers currently competing in the top three NASCAR divisions.

With 9 ARCA Wins to his name, Chandler Smith is the winningest driver in the modern era of Venturini Motorsports. Corey Heim is just behind Smith with 8 ARCA wins to his credit and chasing more in the 2022 season.

The Venturini family’s racing legacy was established over seven decades ago, but Billy Venturini transitioned Venturini Motorsports into a Driver Development empire in 2007, quickly emerging with success as Joey Logano scored the teams’ first victory of the new era.

When Billy was asked if he ever thought they would make it to this milestone, his response was, “Absolutely.”

“When I took over the race team, I always envisioned nothing but long-term success. I’m proud of all the people on this team and with all their hard work, we’ve been able to achieve this,” added Billy. “Getting No.80 was a huge accomplishment, but I think we need to stretch that number much further before VMS is done here.”

The ARCA Menards Series will return to action on Friday, March 11 with the General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway. The race will be broadcasted live on MAVTV Motorsports Network at 5:30PM MT / 7:30PM ET.

Corey Heim Scores VMS’ 80th Victory, Becoming Winningest Team in ARCA History

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Corey Heim and Venturini Motorsports experienced a déjà vu Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.

Last year, Heim and his team opened the season with a superspeedway victory when he won the race following an overtime restart. While it was not technically an overtime finish this time, the 2022 Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire ended with a restart on the final lap.

And once again, Heim wheeled his No. 20 Crescent Tools Toyota for Venturini Motorsports to the checkered flag.

The win marked VMS’ fifth consecutive ARCA Menards Series victory at Daytona. It was Heim’s eighth trip to Victory Lane in the ARCA Menards Series dating back to 2020.

“My team made it easy on me,” Heim said. “I had great teammates with me the whole way. Venturini Motorsports — the most organized team out here. Toyota Racing has helped me get here, Crescent Tools … It just all came together for this race, and it worked out.”

The teammate who spent the majority of Saturday’s race pushing Heim was Parker Chase, who finished second, a new career high in the ARCA Menards Series.

Chase was on Heim’s bumper as the two crossed the finish line.

“The objective here today was to have a Venturini car win, and we succeeded at that,” Chase said. “Five in a row for Venturini, which is incredible. That’s what we came here to do.”

The ARCA Menards Series will return to action on Friday, March 11, with the General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway. The race, which also will serve as the season-openers for both the ARCA Menards Series West and the Sioux Chief Showdown, is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. MT / 7:30 p.m. ET.

The General Tire 150 at Phoenix will broadcast live on MAVTV Motorsports Network with a live stream available on FloRacing.

Gus Dean Returns to ARCA Menards Series with Venturini Motorsports

DAYTONA BEACH, Fl (January 14,2022): Two-time ARCA Menards Series winner Gus Dean (@gusdean) is returning to the ARCA Menards Series in 2022 and will join the potent Venturini Motorsports in a minimum three-race deal beginning with the season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Feb. 19, 2022.

A competitor in the ARCA Menards Series since 2016, the Bluffton, S.C.-native returns to the “World Center of Racing” for a sixth time focused on delivering Venturini Motorsports their fifth consecutive ARCA triumph at the 2.5-mile superspeedway aboard the No. 55 Toyota Camry.

Dean scored his first career ARCA Menards Series victory in just his second start at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in 2016 but has been cursed at Daytona over a period of five previous races and is hopeful that the opportunity to “Fly the V” will prove to be the cure and deliver his third career ARCA victory.

“I am very excited about this opportunity to join Venturini Motorsports at Daytona,” said Dean. “Ever since I’ve been competing at ARCA, Venturini Motorsports has proven to be a dominant fixture in the series, especially on the superspeedways.

“To have the chance to pilot one of their Toyota Camrys, work closely with their dedicated and experienced crew and be surrounded by great teammates is sure to bring all the emotions of when I first joined the ARCA Menards Series. I’m just thankful to be a part of the team’s superspeedway lineup this season and look forward to putting myself in contention for the victory.”

Venturini Motorsports’ Billy Venturini has been wanting to add Dean to his driver roster for years and is thankful that the opportunity presented itself for the 2022 season.

“It’s great to have Gus with us,” said Venturini. “We’ve been racing with him as a competitor for years and it’s great to finally have him under our banner this year. With his experience and Venturini Motorsports success at superspeedways, we believe we have a wonderful chance at getting to Victory Lane!”

Added Dean, “While we have been fierce competitors on the track, I have always had the utmost respect for Billy, Mr. Bill Venturini and the entire Venturini Motorsports team. Not having the chance right now to race in a premier series on a weekly basis, I have to make the most of any opportunity and being a part of Venturini Motorsports provides me a shot to not only have fun, but hopefully that opportunity to experience the bliss and emotions of celebrating in Victory Lane again.”

In addition to Daytona, Dean will return to ARCA competition with Venturini Motorsports at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April and at Michigan International Speedway in August.

“Until we can hopefully put ourselves back into that position again, we’ll take the path that has been laid out before me and make the most of it. Venturini Motorsports is going for an unprecedented fifth straight ARCA victory at Daytona and I want to be that driver that gets it done for them!”

First Arab American Female Driver in NASCAR, Toni Breidinger, to Full Time in 2022 with Toyota Racing Development, Venturini Motorsports

January 13, 2022 (Concord, NC) – Toyota Racing Development’s Venturini Motorsports (VMS) announced today the selection of 22-year-old female athlete, Toni Breidinger, as the full-time driver for the No.25 Toyota Camry for NASCAR’s upcoming 2022 ARCA Menards Series season.

Possessing the talent and dynamic personality needed on and off the racetrack, Breidinger’s racing career has been trending upward leading to her first full-season opportunity in the ARCA Menards Series. Setting her sights on reaching the highest ranks of NASCAR, Breidinger’s tireless efforts are sharply focused on honing her skills both behind the wheel and mentally for this next stage in her career.

“This is a proud moment not only for me but also my family. I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to run my first full season in NASCAR’s ARCA with Venturini Motorsports and Toyota,” said the first Arab American female driver to compete in NASCAR.

“I’ve worked a lifetime to get to this point in my career. It’s taken a lot of hard work and support from countless people. Racing is a business. It takes more than just desire. I truly cannot thank my supporters and business partners enough for believing and providing the support to get me to this stage. There’s still a lot of work ahead but I’m ready to get this season started at Daytona.”

Ready to embark on her highly anticipated 2022 racing campaign next month on racing’s brightest stage, Daytona International Speedway, Breidinger carries support from Hairclub, and Pit Viper Sunglasses.

Breidinger became the first Arab American female driver in NASCAR in 2021 with her Daytona debut. With 12-career starts in ARCA’s premier touring series, Breidinger has earned three top-10 finishes in limited action. Breidinger also carries the notable label as the first minority driver to achieve this level without going through NASCAR’s diversity program.

Moving up through the ranks in motorsports, she grabbed attention early on competing in the United States Automobile Club (USAC), with 19 victories. Transitioning in her late teens from open wheel midgets to stock cars, Breidinger’s relentless efforts are paying dividends.

Serving as Toyota Racing Development’s (TRD) official driver development program, VMS possesses a rich tradition of winning in the ARCA Menards Series with over 75 wins and two national championships. Also best known for their success preparing tomorrow’s future NASCAR stars for the spotlight at the highest level of the sport.

Breidinger and VMS will begin their quest at Daytona International Speedway in the series’ season opener Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire on Saturday, February 19. The race will air live on FS1 and Fox Sports App beginning at 1:30pm EST.

Six-Time ARCA Tour Winner Tom Hessert Returns After 4-Year Series Hiatus

January 12, 2022 (Concord, NC) – Long-time ARCA Menards Series veteran driver, Tom Hessert, will make his long-anticipated return to the seat with Venturini Motorsports for three short track events in 2022. Earning the reputation as a tenacious short track competitor, Hessert returns with a tailor made schedule at Berlin Raceway, Elko Speedway and Lucas Oil Raceway.

A mainstay fixture and respected personality on tour with the ARCA Menards Series from 2007 to 2018, Hessert has compiled 186 career series starts. Finishing a career best, runner-up, in ARCA’s 2016 National Championship points standings, the second-generation driver from Cherry Hill, NJ has turned nearly 25,000 laps and accomplished 6 series wins, 55 top-5 finishes and 111 top-10 finishes.

With a lifetime of racing seemingly in his rear-view mirror, Hessert left the track in 2018 to resume his day-to-day life raising his four young children with his wife while running day-to-day operations for his family’s north Philadelphia auto dealership.

“So yeah, It’s been a minute since I was in the seat,” said Hessert laughingly when asked about coming back to the track after four years. “Our last full season was 2016 and after that we ran a couple of partial seasons. Since then, my focus has been on being a dad and growing my family with my amazing wife Meghan.”

“This whole idea kinda just came together back in September when I was talking with Billy (Venturini) about Lucas Oil being back on the ARCA schedule and how I’d love to go back one more time. Indianapolis is one of my favorite places. And after we made the decision to run, we started looking further up the schedule and found a few more races we thought would help knock off the rust,” added Hessert.

“I definitely miss the racing and being competitive, but getting back to the track and seeing everyone in the garage is going to be special. As far as the racing, there are some unknowns after being away for so long, I just know were gonna make the most of it and have some fun.”

Hessert has made 18 starts combined throughout his career at Berlin, Elko and Lucas Oil tallying 9 top-5’s and 17 top-10 finishes. By the numbers, Hessert padded his career stats racing short tracks which account for 64% of both his career top-5 (35) and top-10 (71) totals. All but one of his victories came via the bullring, with his only non-short track event win at Talladega Superspeedway in 2014.

Tom Hessert will make his return to the track in the ARCA Menards Series at Berlin Raceway on June 18. The race will air LIVE on MAVTV beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Follow Hessert on social media on Twitter @TomHessert, and Facebook @tom.hessert.3.
