Natalie Decker Set to Make Iowa Speedway Debut

Concord, North Carolina (July 5, 2018) – Natalie Decker will make her first ever appearance in the Hawkeye State when the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards returns to Iowa Speedway for the 12th running of the Fans with Benefits 150 on Saturday, July 7.

In the midst of her first full-season of ARCA competition driving for Venturini Motorsports, the upcoming ARCA race at Iowa will mark the 12th start of the season for the 21-year old rookie driver.

“I’ve had Iowa circled on my calendar since the schedule was released,” said Decker. “Iowa is just one of those tracks I’ve always wanted to race. It’s a short track that runs more like a speedway. After watching other races there it looks really racy with multiple lane options. I think it’s really going to help me progress as a driver. I can’t wait to make my first laps.”

Driving VMS' iconic No. 25 car, Decker is currently seventh in the series' driver point standings - accumulating four top-10 finishes in her first eleven series starts on the season. The Eagle River, WI native finished 12th in her last attempt at Chicagoland Speedway.

Decker made headlines winning the General Tire Pole and finishing a career high fifth during this year's season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Performing on racing’s biggest stage, she added her name to the record books becoming just the third woman in ARCA’s history and fourth in Daytona’s 59-year track history to start a race from the pole position.

Next up for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is the Fans with Benefits 150 on July 7 at Iowa Speedway.
